The Veteran Directed Care (VDC) program was piloted in 2010/2011. At that point, ARIS Solutions was contacted by the White River Jct. VA Medical Center to perform Financial Management Services on behalf of the Veterans this program would serve. A partnership began between the VA Medical Center and Vermont Association of Area Agencies on Aging to develop the VDC program in Vermont. This program quickly grew from a pilot to 7 times its original size four years later.

As these programs continue to grow and new opportunities develop in other states, ARIS Solutions hopes to continue its involvement with VDC programs to provide Veterans and their families the Financial Management Services they need to continue care in their home. Taking the burden of tax filings and payroll processes off the Veteran allows them the time to direct their own care needs and gives them the chance to focus on the things that mean the most to them.

Because of the great successes with the VDC program in Vermont, ARIS Solutions has partnered with Area Agencies on Aging, Independent Living Centers, and Aging and Disability Resource Centers across the Nation to provide the essential payroll functions needed to ensure Veterans remain in compliance with all Federal and State Department of Labor and Department of Revenue laws and regulations.
